Drawing Flies
Watched on: December 28th, 2023. Pretty good for what it was, being Jason Lee's first role, having the same low-budget / school project-esque tone to the overall film. Dialogue was actually pretty decent, very realistic. Jason losing his shit as time went on, really showcasing the down-spiral of his sanity was well done imo. Anyways, if you haven't checked this film out before, it's on Youtube for free (which is how I watched it) and I definitely recommend it.

Nature of the Beast (1995)
Watched on: January 15th, 2024. Pretty decent, but nothing too spectacular. I've seen Lance Henriksen in better shit, but this is alright too.

Sleepstalker
Watched on: January 14-15th, 2024. A pretty decent slasher that resembles the likes of Child's Play, Wishmaster and a bit of Candyman as well. This is one of those one-off slashers of the 90's that never got sequels or had any real legacy. Not that I'm surprised. This isn't the greatest nor most memorable film of its kind nor do I believe it was meant to be. For what it was, you got what you got. Not terrible, not magnificent, just plain ol' 90's slasher. That simple.

Bigfoot Country
Watched on: January 14th, 2024. Probably one of the worst Bigfoot movies I've ever seen. The ending was unexpected / unintentionally funny.. one of those moments where I legit lol'd way too hard. Just terrible!

Day of the Animals (1977)
Watched on: January 14th, 2024. Average. very, very average. Nothing much to say other than the movie should've been R-rated, it would've been better imo. More animal attack action would've been great as well as gore, etc. Instead.. we got a very tamed version of what would otherwise be realistic and straight to the point. Not bad, but not great either. Again... average.

Night of the Howling Beast
Watched on: January 14th, 2024. Not a bad movie at all, definitely a classic. Problem is, if you watch the dubbed version which is called "The Werewolf and the Yeti", well.. you'd expect both the Werewolf and the Yeti, as well as a showdown of some sort, but no... what we get is a full movie of a wolfman in the Himalayas and then by the time the Yeti shows up, it's out of nowhere and that's not even the half of it. This "fight" happens in the last 5 minutes of the film, it's very short, probably like 30 seconds long? Yeti loses easily and Wolfman turns back into human form. Blood effects were great, the cast was okay and the setting was pretty decent. the overall movie is very average, but not terrible.

Demon Wind
Watched on: January 12th, 2024. A very weird movie to say the least.. but not a bad movie. Bigfoot, as I assumed (and I was wrong) was going to be the main antagonist of the film, but no... we got a crazy supernatural element to it in which zombies are witchcraft of some sort is involved. The whole movie goes from regular "out in the woods and attacked by bigfoot" to a completely different plot emerging. But once again, despite the craziness and overall shift in tone of the film, it's not bad. Give it a watch if you ever have the time or day to binge a b-movie from the late 80's.. that's all I gotta say.

Body Count
Watched on: January 11th, 2024. Damn good slasher, I liked this one a lot. Always great to find a rare / underground old-school 80's horror flick. Great gore, great atmosphere and overall decent story.

Final Summer
Watched on: January 11th, 2024. The word "mediocre" seems to be the best one-word definition for a film like this. The ending, which was supposed to be a twist, wasn't much of a twist in the first place, since the names of people involved are either not told to us as the audience or you just don't care enough to remember them. This movie was pretty much trash. So far, I haven't been able to find any decent movies, both low-budget and Hollywood-budget, in the 2020's. Pretty sad.

Dark Ride
Watched on: January 11th, 2024. It was... alright. The gore was on point and I'm glad it was all practical effects. The cast were mediocre and honestly, did not really care for any of them, especially when they started getting off'd one by one. The killer himself was very typical slasher-esque villain. Ending had a twist, but at that point, I didn't care at all for the plot, i was just waiting the minutes before it finally ended.

The Fear
Watched on: January 11th, 2024. A very weird and out there film. Not the worst horror film I've ever seen, but definitely one of the most mediocre. The killer "Morty" seems more like an anti-hero than an actual villain, though the story becomes so confusing, dragged out, that the lack of understanding is acceptable in this instance. Film is just a mess. I wanted to like it, but... I just didn't.

Drive In Massacre
Watched on: January 11th, 2024. Wow, not bad for an early slasher-flick. Around the same time as Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Black Christmas, this is pretty decent. The kills were gory and the execution (pin intended) of "who's the killer" was well-done. I thought I knew all along on who the slasher villain was, but nope, it went over my head and you never found out either way. Anyways, I recommend it!
