Yah... that was pretty bad, or at least mediocre for the time. I will give it some credit tho, the guy who played the "snow creature" as they like to call it, was 7'7" which really showed when said monster was next to a regular man. With that said, the best and only good part of the film was the beginning half when it's just a small crew accidentally running into the Yeti at the top of the Himalayas, but by the time it gets to the city... it all falls apart. Also, the costume of the "creature" was pretty bad and had to be obscured by the bad lighting (on purpose) in order to hide the fact that the costume was barely a costume.. and looked more like raggedy clothing. Anyways... that's that.

Not bad, I enjoyed the higher-production quality for a film like this, since I was expecting it to look like a HS video class-quality movie with a camcorder like almost every other non-theatrical movie made nowadays, but that's what made this one stick out like a sore thumb (but in a good way of course). The setup is fine, the tone is good, the characters...? Very 2-dimensional, but what are you gonna do? This is a horror film, not a Oscar-worthy drama or whatnot. The fact of the matter is... this is not only a decent horror film, but it's a cryptozoology film based on the legend of the "Bunyip" from Australian folklore. What's cool about that is, it's a very obscure cryptid, so the fact that they made a movie about it was a pleasant surprise as I'm a fan of that kind of stuff. Makes me wish we had more promising films such as this one with the same type of tone / production-quality in the realm of cryptozoology.
Anyways, with that said, I recommend this film for sure, despite there being obvious flaws and pacing issues, but the overall picture itself is fine. Give it a try!

I fell asleep twice. The movie is basically what Children of the Corn would end up being.. some satanic cult of children or whatever. Uhh.. the acting was subpar, but I mostly blame the script. The atmosphere / tone wasn't scary at all, just very boring. It became a choir to get thru the movie, but when it was finally over, I was content. Yah, idk what's with the high-rating from people, but this movie was average asf.

It was... okay. I honestly don't see the big deal, besides the great effects for the time and overall tone, but as the movie itself? It was very average. I've seen better in the horror genre, The Exorcist seems overrated asf imo.

Not bad, not great.. I loved the setting, it being a period-based film as well as the score. For some reason, I just didn't think the cast was enough, only being like 8 actors overall, but only ending up with 6 overall. It just didn't make much sense considering the size of the ship and literally no crew on board, not sure what was up with that.. besides the budget I suppose(?) I think overall, the film was alright, not the greatest, but alright. The creature effect(s) were really well-done as they were practical and not CGI garbage, especially with a film that came out in 2022. Unfortunately, the ending was rushed and was very anti-climactic. Seems like many of these types of films don't know a good way to end and usually end up being disappointing, as this definitely was.

Oh man... well, let's just say the ending wasn't anything at all of what I was expecting. So, from the get-go, it's a simple plot in which a reality tv-survivalist (think Les Stroud for example) goes out in the wilderness of Ontario to shoot the pilot of the 3rd season of his show "Man Vs." but is interrupted and hunted down by an unknown creature... so I guess the irony becomes pretty apparent with the name 'n all of the movie / show within the movie, but that's not neither here or there. The fact of the matter is... the movie takes a turn and said creature ends up being the downfall of the movie. Yes, the downfall. Everything leading up to the point was fine and was shot very well, made you feel like you were watching some dude's show, but the moment the CGI low-budget "monster" shows up.. you just can't help but laugh. It totally takes you out and just doesn't work. Point being, they should've taken more time to make something more practical.. maybe a different creature altogether, perhaps?
Anyways, with all said and done... the film up until the 2/3rds of the way in is well done, but gets completely crucified by the reveal / twist. Yah..

Started off fine, but dragged along around the middle... just another reason why most movies don't need to be longer than 85-90 minutes, most become boring asf or overstate their welcome for far too long... practically made me fall asleep twice, but eventually I was able to complete it. Overall.. it's mediocre. That's that.

A really damn good flick and from Wes Craven himself, so it makes sense... also the fact that it's hinted as being a sequel or perhaps a prequel(?) of The Hills Have Eyes (original) films, tho based on my own research, that is only speculation and not fact, so.. I guess that's up in the air for anyone to say. Anyways, the action starts pretty much right away as there isn't much to the plot other than the whole "scientists bring back person from death and reanimate him into a monster" type of scenario and it works pretty well. The kills and gore are top-notch and never stray away from being shown. The soundtrack's also pretty good, lots of obscure rock and metal, but that's fine... I like that retro feel to a film, especially from the 90's. Overall, I enjoyed this one!
