Like a Bat Outta Hell
Watched on: April 10th, 2024. Well.. this was absolute trash of a movie. Acting was terrible, the story was boring asf and the actual "creature" is a CGI-filled mess. The runtime is about average 90 minutes long, but it was so dragged out that it felt like 3 hours. I wanted my money back, but then I realized.. I was watching it for free. These are the types of movies that make you wish you were dead or at least doing something completely different with your life. Fuck this movie, there are no redeeming factors whatsoever to bring up... it's shit.

The Wild Man of the Navidad
Watched on: April 9th, 2024. Not bad, I'm more disappointed at the ratings this film got, despite the fact that it's actually quite good for such a low-budget movie. But then again, there's plenty of more mainstream / popular movies I could care less about as well, but that's neither here or there. The fact of the matter is.. this film is based on real events, on a real so-called "Wild Man" that was scene back in the 1850's and supposedly died around the 1880's, it being the first sighting of Bigfoot in Texas at the time. I found the backstory intriguing as well as the very gritty way it was portrayed in this film. The acting is fine, it's what I'd expect for a project like this. The costume that was used for the Wild Man was interesting, it's definitely something I'd suspect a neanderthal type of creature would wear and the tusks were a nice touch. The gore effects are well-done and I enjoyed the kills when they came, very raw and straight to the point. All 'n all, this was a tight Bigfoot film, I enjoyed it!

Children of the Corn
Watched on: April 9th, 2024. Pretty good, especially for a movie I've heard about many times throughout my horror journey starting from the early age of 8 years old all the way to my adulthood and it just happens to be just now, today that I decided to watch this flick. The blood effects were pretty good as well as the acting of the two main characters. The very opening was definitely a shocker and I could definitely see it shocking people at the time who'd never seen such violence before. The ending although was a bit weak for me (imho) as it dragged longer than it really had to, but at the same time.. I didn't mind it either. The music score was a plus, so I'll give credit where credit is due in terms of the sound department, so there's that. Overall.. pretty good.

The Sleep Experiment
Watched on: April 9th, 2024. Good beginning, liked the atmosphere, the characters involved and even the score for the most part. Problem is, the ending.. the so-called "twist" that's supposed to shock the audience (I mean what else is a twist meant to be for anyway, right?) fell flat and really just ended up making me say, "so?" and then the credits started. Yah... it's overall okay, the movie in itself is average, but that ending just... it just wasn't enough nor was it anything to write home about other than the fact that it sucked. So, do I recommend it? Not really, but.. I also protest that it's still a decent flick to watch if you're bored asf like I was when I decided to give it a go.

Hollows Grove
Watched on: April 9th, 2024. It's like it was trying to be Grave Encounters... but worse and not as good of a cast as well as a weak ending. it's not a terrible film, but it's easily forgettable. Probably will never watch again. That's all I really gotta say about it.

Beast: A Monster Among Men
Watched on: April 9th, 2024. This was barely a film, that's one thing I'll say... but also, bigfoot? Not really. You could've watched this film without even knowing it was a supposed bigfoot movie and be absolutely surprised by the time the ending comes around, because there is no indication that this had anything to do with said creature. They attempted to create a twist by the end, but it didn't matter because the film was a train wreck from start to finish. The finale was weak, the "bigfoot" is in the film for about 30 seconds (tops) and the costume is shit, its blurry as hell... but maybe that was the point? Anyways.. terrible film, don't watch it.

Feed the Gods
Watched on: April 9th, 2024. If it weren't for the very shitty lighting and way too dark overall picture, this film could've been great. It's so dark, you can hardly see wtf is going on in most shots, even when it's supposed to be broad daylight, it's always overshadowed (literally) by the dark filter. The plot in question is not bad and the acting was also pretty decent, as well as the actual Bigfoot, except you don't see "it" until the very end and it's way too dark (once again) to really observe it. From what I could see, the costume was decent enough, but I felt as if I sorta wasted my time as this could've been anything other than a Bigfoot-inspired flick. So, Bigfoot or not, the film was mediocre, despite the actual good effects and acting. Almost seems like the direction wasn't focused enough and whomever decided on the cinematography / picture quality was either trying to be artsy / fancy for no reason or just a complete idiot. Overall... average.
